Places to Visit

  • Cusco, the Puma City.
  • Cusco, the sacred Inca city, was the physical, political, and spiritual center of the Inca Empire. Every aspect of the city reflects its cosmic importance. It is said that the city of Cusco is shaped like a puma, with Saqsaywaman as the puma's head, the body delineated by two rivers, and the main square, Hawkaypata, as the belly. High-ranking inhabitants lived within the puma's silhouette. Everyone else resided outside.
  • Moray Terraces.
  • Moray is an archaeological site located near Cusco, Peru. It is characterized by several circular terraces and is situated at 3500 m.a.s.l.
  • Maras Salt Mines.
  • The salt mines consist of approximately 3000 wells, fed by an underground spring. They are located at 3380 meters, 56.8 km from the city of Cusco, in the Sacred Valley. According to legend, the salt is formed from the tears of Ayar Cachi (one of Ayar Manco's brothers, founder of Cusco), who died crying because he could not found the Tahuantinsuyo. The tears were dried by the sun, forming salt flats with pink and lilac tones.
  • Machu Picchu Inca Citadel.
  • Built before the 15th century, located in the Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru, in a mountain range at 2430 meters above sea level. The Historic Sanctuary - Machu Picchu National Archaeological Park is a cultural and natural area according to UNESCO. With an area of 37302 hectares, it is one of the most biodiverse areas in Peru and houses more than 60 archaeological monuments articulated through a complex network of Inca roads.
  • Living City of Ollantaytambo.
  • Ollantaytambo is one of the most impressive fortresses of the Tahuantinsuyo, intended for military and religious life. It was ordered to be built by Pachacutec as a perfect defense. The archaeological site comprises a series of superimposed terraces, showing impressive and large finely carved stone blocks located on the upper terrace, such as the Temple of the Sun.
  • Cusco Surroundings.
  • We will visit the archaeological site of Tambomachay, then Puca-Pucará, a place that would have served as a "tambo" or resting and lodging place for the Inca. Kenko, an archaeological site where the Sun, Moon, and Stars were celebrated. Finally, before arriving in the city of Cusco, we will visit the Fortress of Sacsayhuamán.
